We are developing the next generation of advanced military sensor and command platforms with a modular, open architecture. Our computer platforms utilize ARM and RISC-V based processors and run Linux and other operating systems that meet military requirements. The systems are part of aviation and safety-critical applications where robustness, performance, and security are paramount.

Your Role

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be a key person in the development of our Common Networking Platform. You will work on the design and development of embedded software on ARM and RISC-V, customization and integration of Linux and other open operating systems, as well as development in our modular, open architecture.

You will contribute to our programmable network stack and integrate sensor and command system modules in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners. This role is suitable for you who want to work at the forefront of technology and shape solutions for safety-critical systems.

You are analytical, structured, and confident in technical decisions, and you collaborate effectively with colleagues in a solution-oriented manner.

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience with embedded Linux
Knowledge of ARM and/or RISC-V
Experience with open architecture system design
Experience with network protocols and integration of sensor/command systems

It is also considered a merit if you have:

Experience with seL4 and Yocto build systems
Experience with RTOS, FPGA/SoC integration, and development of defense or safety-critical systems
Experience with verification and formal methods for high assurance levels

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
